Design a Logo Competition!
In a mission to develop our communications activity and further engage with the local community, we have been undertaking a review of our marketing activity. Initially, this involved speaking to adults from across Hambleton and Richmondshire in a series of online focus groups. This research identified a need for us to modernise and develop our brand and the trustees have decided to redesign their logo.
Before we brief a designer, we want to involve primary and secondary school children from across the two districts. Students are encouraged to have a go at designing a logo for the charity during the current lockdown. We donate valuable time and fundraise for medical support and modern equipment at the Friarage Hospital and its community services in Hambleton and Richmondshire.
Over the next few weeks, we are contacting schools and inviting them to get involved, however, the opportunity is open to all school-aged children in the local area. Susan Watson, joint chair of trustees for the Friends of the Friarage said,
"Working with the local community is extremely important to us. With the NHS in the spotlight right now there has never been a more valuable time for us to look at our brand and ensure we are doing everything we can to support the Friarage Hospital. By recreating our logo, we want to develop a stronger brand so it's more recognisable to local residents and build stronger relationships. School pupils are the future of the charity so it's vital we engage with this younger audience and bring them on this journey to develop our look and feel. We can't wait to see what the children create and hope it gives them a positive and fun task during lockdown."
