Fundraising ideas!

It is essential that we find ways to continue to raise money to help us support the hospital both now and in the future. If you are looking for new ways to raise money, here are a few ideas to get you started!

Fitness Challenge

Want to feel energised and raise money for your local NHS? Then walk, jog or run a sponsored 5K, 10K or marathon!  The when and where is up to you and it can be done socially distanced with friends and family or your support bubble.  Set up a Virgin Giving page and start training .......

Quiz Night

Have you spent your time during lockdown improving your general knowledge? Why not put it to good use by holding a virtual quiz night with friends and family.  Set up a Virgin Giving page and ask your guests for a donation to take part!  Let the games begin...

Donate your commute

If you are saving money on your daily commute to work - and even better, if you are a season ticket holder and have secured your refund from your rail or bus company - why not donate some of that to Friends of the Friarage?  If you don't fancy a single gift (although that would be most welcome under current circumstances) then think about eking it out over two or three months.  Get in touch with us and we can tell you how.

Donate what you're not spending money on

Are you saving money on that daily coffee and Danish pastry?  Treats at the till?  Why not donate the savings to the Friends and help us to support your local hospital?

Donate your birthday

If you can't have that big bash to celebrate or your family or friends can't come over to join you on your day, why not invite them to make a donation to the Friends of the Friarage?

Facebook birthday fundraisers are also very popular.  Facebook gives you the tools to run a birthday fundraising campaign online amongst your friends and contacts.  It doesn't take a penny and all the money is donated to us!
